Review: Rogue by Rihanna

Hi! I don't usually do reviews, but I felt like writing one. You know that feeling when you see, taste or smell something really good and suddenly you can't think about anything else? It was exactly what happened to me after smelling Rihanna Rogue EDP.

First of all, I'd like to talk about the bottle and the whole packaging. Can we just take a minute to appreciate it? The design is simple, yet fancy. The bottle is clear and edgy and the liquid has that rose gold tint as well as other parts, except the lid, which has a harsh gray stingray pattern. So, it is different from other celebrity perfumes because they often look extravagant. This one looks more like a designer fragrance. I love those spikes at the bottom and the general look. The box has the same pattern as the lid and rose gold detailing.

Now, the most interesting part. The
packaging says a lot about the scent which is flirtatious and sweet in a sexy way. Rihanna herself said “I made it for all women, for every mood, because we all want to project our true selves.” Some reviewers find it vulgar, but I would name it as confident and sophisticated. Top notes of this fragrance are lemon blossom and cyclmen, followed by jasmine, rose, plum, suede, musk, woody notes, amber, patchouli and vanilla. To be honest, I think that suede, woody notes, plum, amber and patchouli are the strongest ones here.

What is surprising about this scent is that it is very intense. I own the 125 ml bottle and keeping in mind that this is more suitable for cold weather and nights, I will probably use it forever (in other words, a year and a half or more), so the fragrance was definitely worth buying.

I hope someone will find my review useful. I know it's Christmas time, but buying "Rogue" for someone as a gift is not a good idea if one didn't ask for it. We all want fragrance to be our signature and this is not for everyone. I got complimented quite a few times during the last week, but the most important part is that I feel like myself when I have this scent on my skin :)

About fur coats

Hello! Officially winter starts in two days, so I thought it's a great time to start doing two things: preparing for Christmas and wearing fur coats. I'm definitely failing with the first one, but the second is a lot easier. I prefer simple and minimal looks, because a fur coat itself (doesn't matter if it's real or faux) is luxurious, so elaborate layering might be just too much. Many layers underneath simply make it difficult to move and feel comfortable. What is more, I thnik that if the coat covers your thighs, it is better to avoid midi skirts, especially the new look silhouette. Skirts and dresses look the best when they are the same lenght as the coat or shorter. Those are only my tips, but maybe you'll find them useful as well :)

Bloggers love Deichmann and shoes

Hey! Last Thursday I attended another event for bloggers. I had an intense week dealing with some things at home to make it there, but the trip was worth the effort. Deichmann team did an amazing job once again and we all had such a fun evening. I live far from the capital, so going there to meet the girls and do something new is always exciting. This time we were invited to Spring studio to see and wear the new Deichmann F/W collection. We all had to wear a pair of shoes we chose as soon as we got our invitations and dance in front of a camera! Basically, that was almost the same as dancing in your own room just with other people around. Besides the filming part, a makeup artist prepared us for the shoot, there were delicious cake pops, cupcakes and drinks. Take a look :)

Porcelain

Remember that picture of your mom wearing a midi skirt and a slightly larger blouse or even a baggy sweater? I'm sure you do! I love those looks, so this is my version.

What I wanted was a modern vintage outfit. While I admire the style my mom had, I still don't want to forget my favorite pieces. Light-colored (in my case, ivory and beige) clothes and a pair of black shoes might not sound good at first, but I think that accessories helped me to keep the balance. Also, it's finally sweater weather again! I've been waiting the whole summer for it to come back. Besides, knitwear is always a trend during the cold season!

My time of the year

Yasss, it's September again! You might know that I'm one of those weird people who love autumn. It's always exhausting and hard both mentally and physically, but I take it as a challenge. Inspiration and new experiences come with those difficulties. I also see fall as a great time to learn more about yourself, to explore, and that doesn't mean that I'm only talking about philosophical topics!

For example, it could be a new lip color. I'm sure you have those few colors which are just not for you, even though they look absolutely gorgeous on others. And then you finally find that perfect shade of red and you know you have to have it. A new makeup product can lift your mood immediately, try that by chance (way better than eating cake).

Moving on, bold lips look great when you're wearing dark clothes. Insted of wearing all black, I chose this dark green skirt and a sporty top with little trophies on it.
