Deichmann event

By Tomas Bauras

I have no idea why business people always choose Thursdays, but I'm OK with that as long as I'm having a good time. Two days ago I did for sure!
It's becoming a tradition for Deichmann to organise a meeting of all the best Lithuanian bloggers every year. I was extremely happy to get an invitation, because it was "a first" for me. Meeting all the girls at
XCelsior gallery of contemporary design was amazing, but kind of strange at the same time, because it felt like I know some of them pretty well, when I actually don't  (media does its job).
Speaking of the event, it was interesting and useful. We had a chance to be the first to see the exposition of various chairs and armchairs. Later, we found out more about Deichmann trendblog, Deimantė, who is an author of one of the biggest fashion websites in Lithuania Spintos guru, told us about her career and gave some advices about blogging, we also learnt about stylist's job. The fun part was when we had to match a bag, a scarf and a pair of shoes as fast as we could and then explain our choices. All that time Tomas Bauras, the photographer, was taking pictures non-stop, our glasses were filled with delicious champagne and, of course, how without food? At the end, we were surprised with the gifts - we were told to choose a bag when answering the invitations and that's exactly what was hiding in big paper bags with our names on them.
To sum up, I had a super fun evening. I was inspired and now I know that writing Passion&Unicorns is the only thing I am sure about at the moment. I don't want to lose my enthusiasm and excitement when it comes to blogging and attending smaller or bigger events. Little things are huge, when they make you happy.

14042015 aka my birthday

I know I'm late with this post, but thats better than never. I'm doing pretty well with my promises (here), I guess. As silly as it sounds, I've sewn this skirt last weekend just because I wanted to wear a skirt on my birthday which was on Tuesday and I didn't have anything acceptable for school. It's simple, but still looks different because of its velvet kind of material. That was more than easy, so I believe every single of you could sew a skater skirt.

All in black

When I wear black on black, it's one of my *walk past like you don't know me* outfits. We all have those days when we just don't want to talk to people for no reason or maybe rainy and windy weather affects the mood.

Sweatshirt

One more not OOTD post. I don't know why, but I really wanted to talk about sweatshirts and couldn't wait any longer.

One year ago I loved blazers, but sweatshirts easily replaced them. First of all, sweatshirt is comfortable and warm, just perfect for school or grocery shopping. Also, you can dress it up. It looks beautiful not only with skinny jeans or shorts. You can wear a sweatshirt with all kinds of mini skirts or even a midi skirt. You will have to work harder to make that work, of course.

I would like to show you some cute and funny sweatshirts I have been seeing on the Internet for a really long time and which instantly got in my "I want these" list and others that I would love to have.

1) The first place goes to Lithuanian brand "horse head label", which is already popular in Lithuania and I can see why. These clothes are created for active people who are always in a rush. The decor is minimal, but eye-catching and stylish. It creates fresh and clean look, which is all you need when there's no time for changing your clothes for 10 times before leaving the house. These are quite pricey (58€), but it's definitely the right price for an original great quality piece.

2) I'm in love with this "Mama pasiuvo" one, which means "Mom has sewn" in English. I coulnd't stop laughing the first time I saw it. It would be impossible to be sad while wearing this sweatshirt and it would make others smile as well.  I say YES for Lithuanian brands!!!

3) Wearing anything Beyonce related is an excuse to look like a mess. And if you don't know where those notes came from, we can't be friends.

3) Anything cute. This word follows me everywhere I go, no matter how hard I try to get rid of this label. Now I just embraced that. Sweatshirts below are from OASAP and would be esay to wear with wider skirts, because the bottom is not tight.

DIY: chocolate Easter eggs

Hello, guys! You may have noticed that I don't write DIY posts, because I don't do small things anymore. This time I decided to make some gifts for my relatives and I thought that it would be nice to make a blog post about that. I know it's not related to fashion, but keep in mind that Easter is in a few days. "Easter outfit ideas" sounds quite silly, right?
Let's start!

All you need for this DIY is some balloons, dark chocolate (2 or 3 bars depending on how many eggs you want to make) and white chocolate for decorating, but it's not necessary. They wil look really nice even without white chocolate on top of them. I also bought some little chocolate eggs to put inside the handmade ones.

Blow ballons, make them the size you want, wash and my suggestion is to spread them with a thin layer of oil. Otherwise, it will be hard to remove the balloon and the egg will crack.

Break the chocolate in squares and melt it. I put the bowl with chocolate on the top of pot with boiling water. You can use a microwave to melt the chocolate just make sure the bowl doesn't have any metal on it. That's an obvious thing, but I know what happens in the kitcen when your mind is somewhere else. That's why I never cook.

Then dip the ballon into the chocolate, but leave the knot and some space around it clear.

Dry the balloons and decorate them with white chocolate when they are hal dried. When both white and brown chocolate are completely dried ouf, keep them in a fridge or in a freezer for half an hour. Then take them out, cut some holes and carefully separate ballons from the chocolate. By the way, with 3 bars of dark chocolate I made 12 big eggs.

If everything goes right, you will have some cute chocolate Easter eggs. I think these are a perfect gift for your loved ones. Their beauty depends on your imagination ant patience (which I wasn't). For the same price I could have made brownies or something, but I didn't want to burn the kitchen, did I? You still have some time to make these, so don't be lazy and surprise you friends and family!
